High expectations and changing product-oriented guidelines demand high responsibilities to be assumed in the development and design of seal profiles. To allow us to react in a quick, flexible, cost-effective and quality-oriented way, we are developing new profiles using, amongst others, the finite element method (FEM).

Continual FE improvements

The surface optimisation achieved thanks to our systematic analysis of both the production process chain and FE simulations, and attention to material deformations means clearly improved component features. The measurement results of the respective simulation models are subject to continual verification and are used for component development and process chain optimisation. You will receive a prototype if a complex seal geometry is required, meaning construction of a model tool is not necessarily required during the development phase. Before being approved for production, the first seal profiles are tested against the current norms for practical requirements in Semperit techniques.
